Stray Animals

Here are some of the reasons why the Pointer Clinic CANNOT take in stray animals.

We are an animal hospital, not a rescue centre. Our priorities lie with the animals that we have hospitalized or treat at our premises. Stray animals more than likely carry parasites and sometimes even diseases. However if an animal is in need of medical care we will of course help it, but we cannot keep it here.

If you find a stray animal (no microchip) YOU need to take it to the nearest rescue centre.

Sometimes we do have cats and/or puppies in our reception for homing. These animals have all been checked up and are in good health, before they go up for adoption. This is something that we do to try and help out as much as we can with the ever growing population of abandoned animals.
